New York, NY—June 7th 2011, Brooklyn’s own Team Showoff is bringing back their annual Braggin Rightz basketball tournament with plenty of fun for family and friends.

On June 25th TS will host its fifth annual Braggin Rightz event to take place in Power Playground, entrance located at Ave N between Utica Ave and East 49th. An event for the community, teams from both Brooklyn and Queens consisting of promoters, DJs and event planners will battle it out for the championship title. In partnership with Showbucks TV, a popular video production company accredited for bringing exclusive interviews and visuals to the Tri-State area.

In the past four years TS have attracted up to 700 to 1000 patrons who have participated in making this event a success and this year will be no exception. “We encourage families to come out with their children to enjoy the festivities going on as well as food and refreshments. With the help of the Slowbucks.tv we are expecting additional spectators on top of our regular crowd,” stated the group.

To conclude the fun filled day, TS will hosts their annual Trophy Presentation after party at Cascades located at 1055 East 45th Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11203. While the tournament itself is free the after party is a ticket only event.

WHAT? Sony - UMG Swap!

It jus sounds to weird to reword for myself, but this is for anyone who follows the music industry itself, not just particular artist. I took this straight from UHTN because they worded it so well.

First, out of nowhere, Media Decoder revealed that Barry Weiss, head honcho for Sony Entertainment’s RCA/Jive division is set to takeover Universal Music Group. Now the NYPost.com has learned that UMG’s top gun Doug Morris is slated to shake things up over at Sony Music Entertainment.

While many of us are attempting to figure out what to make of this unexpected executive swap over the last several days, we’re also going to have a grand ol time trying to figure out how in the hell will Morris play big man on campus at Sony’s Headquarters with his $ 10 million UMG contract running until 2013.

Morris, who has held court at UMG for the last 15 years, will replace Sony’s music chief Rolf Schmidt-Holtz when he decides to step down in the next couple of weeks. However, sources close to the story have yet to reveal when Morris will take control of the Sony ship if in fact the deal goes through.

So, what does this mean? Well, my UHTN counterpart Mel believes the logistics behind Doug’s situation are a conflict of interest. But the move could possibly mean a huge merger is in the works between Sony and UMG? Again, only time will tell. I have a feeling 2011 is going to be one HELL of a year.

The third installment in the Transformers series, is titled "Transformers: Dark of the Moon". I saw the trailer and thought it would of been a prequel, but its most of the beginning I guess. Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro and Ramón Rodríguez are set to reprise their starring roles. However it was announced that Megan Fox would not be returning and Sam's new love interest will be played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. (catch her pic on the right, shes also a Victoria's Secret model). Filming was officially completed on November 9, 2010, and will hit theaters July 1, 2011.

The Covini Engineering team claims this is the production version of the six-wheeled C6W that's finally being unveiled this week. The future is now.The Covini Six Wheeler takes its engineering inspiration from the 1976 Tyrell P34 race car. That car had two sets of front wheels that were intended to increase air penetration and provide a smaller frontal area to reduce drag.
Even though the specific engineering behind the Tyrell P34 doesn't necessarily translate to the C6W, Ferruccio Covini, the company's founder, gave the following reasons two years ago for why he's creating his modern-day six-wheeler:

You know the popular messaging service Kik — the one that took-off like a wildfire in the California hills? Well, Research In Motion actually just filed a lawsuit against Kik claiming patent infringement. This is after RIM suddenly removed Kik from their App World distribution store in addition to terminating their developer account and access. The court filing is public, but we haven’t been able to find the claim yet. We’re assuming it has to do with how Kik visualizes sent, delivered, and read notifications, and have reached out to both Kik and RIM for comment and clarification. CEO of Kik, Ted Livingston, wouldn’t comment on the recently filed lawsuit, but said that Kik would “be putting something out” soon. With 2.5 million users after its launch a little more than a month ago, it’s very interesting to see how RIM is handle this situation, as Kik is one of the first — and largest — credible threats to their BlackBerry Messenger product. LOL its funny but its a good marketing scam, and I KNOW its going to work.

I was just looking at the sprint commercial about the EVO and how its the "first 4G phone".. people are even calling the new iPhone the iPhone 4G.... when its just iPhone 4. 4G makes you think its faster.. when the service is actually the same.. The hightst phones have come is 3G..

"T-Mobile does not have a 4G network. Sprint, which first launched WiMAX in June of 2009, does not have a 4G network. Verizon Wireless will flip the switch on LTE later this year and when it does, it will not have a 4G network. AT&T is taking its time with LTE and it won’t fire anything up until next year. When it finally does, AT&T will not have a 4G network." -BGR

But yet if youve been looking for Blackberry 6.0 and not looking to get the Torch, Curve, or the Clam Shell Blackberry.. this is the newest best option. Its been given the November release date on all carriers(GMS). I WANT IT!.. Its supposed to be twice as fast as teh 9700 with double the RAM, but I'm not sure how 6.0 runs as of yet.. My tooth is hurting me. I should have delt with this situation when it first happened. But I prolonged it and now its worse. Anyways.. I had a filling and it fell out and I've been dealing with the pain since my last says in Miami. Its Saturday now and dentist are closed. I've had 4 teeth pulled before but this is the first time I can't just chew ice and have it soothe the pain.. I guess its just that bad this time. Ambersol/Orajel barely works. I can't wait for Monday to come. Best part of my weekend is the return of my computer and the 10 Deep sample sale I guess.. But I'd rather have this pain go away NOW!

Sitting in the airport... on a trip i wasn't supposed to be taking alone I go through my twitter page... I'm looking at my favorites on twitter and I see a list of them I saved from Preme. "…Chris Told Me Rap On Erything Dats Hot Duke /Scrooge Told Me I Will Kill Dem Nigaz Dog I Got U / Fucc Fucc FuccEm All Dem Niggaz Is Not U". That one alone just gave me chills because its a real life situation that I cant even enjoy anymore. This whole time in Miami I tried to enjoy myself. I mean it was definitely an experience but I cant help but think what if I didn't come, I don't think I would have been missing anything in particular. I haven't been in a partying mood.. andIi guess its OK when I drink but other than that I really just like to be alone... not the alone that you need to worry about me but just the alone where I don't feel like you can do anything at all about. There are only a handful of people.. you might think your one, but your prolly not, but there are only a handful I would even feel like don't bother me when they are around. This trip was supposed to be so much fun.. the only real fun I had was riding the scooter with Kreep and Twin. That was the best experience for me. Swimming in the ocean was good too because it was something I planned. Just swimming in the open water where the water completely submerged me. That made me feel entirely too free. Regardless at the end of the day I'm brought back to reality not by returning to Brooklyn like most of you people, I'm brought back every day when its made evident... let me not finish this the way my mind is telling me to..

July 6th 11:11AM I received a call that would and did undoubtedly change my life as I would have never known it (you may or may not know what happened, but that's not what this is about and I could really care less about your speculation). I lost my best friend, and the person who I have shared one of the closest relationships with (outside of my mother) in my life. I tend not to open up to an individual, but with him he became a part of my family. Looking back on our friendship I can't say that will ever happen and I actually don't want it to. To have someone taken away from me without being able to change anything, I don't think I could deal with it again. My emotions have become so numb to pain and that's not me being cold, but once I've experienced something like this, my tolerance for everything else less is just nonchalant.

I still relive the waking moments of July 6th. Woke up out my sleep by calls from numbers that weren't saved, to calling them back and only left saying "he always said that chick was crazy". It was a girl he used to talk to and worked with who first called me. I really couldn't believe the call. I called his job just so I could get in touch with him and wanted to say, "you know she called me saying some wild shit", only to hear the bad news confirmed. Thank god I had nothing to do that day, I arrived first to the hospital.

As that day unfolded the pain inside came out.. Not only as I saw him lay there in a hospital bed, but as I saw the pain that others so close to him we're going through. I know he couldn't tell the future but I wish he could have seen the reactions to the individuals that spoke to me since that day. Every moment I experienced my mother looked on cautiously because in her eyes it could have been me in the same situation. I saw his mother go from calmly talking to me, to breaking down the only way a mother should, and then rebuilding to stay strong as a rock for everyone around her. After seeing how strong his mother was, being the way I was, I was forced to be just as strong. I knew everyone. Was looking at me to see what my breaking point was. I really do appreciate people who spoke to me, and not just the expected "accept my condolences", "sorry for your lost", "let me know if there is anything I can do". Certain individuals were there days just like me and I saw genuine concern that possibly myself or his family was unaware that was there. It was love that I'm sure Stephen never saw from these same people when he was alive, but I don't doubt that it wasn't there; it’s just how we choose to express ourselves. One person that really reached out and I spent time talking to... And even the first phone convo after, I could hear in his voice the sincerity he had as a real friend.

Just as I lost a big part of my life, there were many people Stephen affected. Whether it was a positive, negative, respectful, disrespectful, funny, humiliating experience, we all had one with him, and those were all sides of himself that he choose to let certain people see. To say he was wrong for hiding how he felt about certain situations would make me a hypocrite, because as I stood there then and now, I'm guilty of the same thing. I guess that's just a part of some or all peoples nature, but we wouldn't really know about it would we? I have flash instances of certain experiences we had, and it seemed like they were only yesterday. The memories from furthest away seem like the closest. All the talks we had on things we want to accomplish if it was finishing school, getting a jacket, getting our first cars, or far fetched like if we won the lottery and what we would do. He was always surprised I said I would split it with him if I won. LOL. I still hear him saying, "nigga you whillin, I'd get you your Aston, and make sure good, but half, that's crrraaazzzzy." It could just be the fact we were talking on dreams, but I really think that if I had it, I would.

"Just want to say I'm sorry... To The People That Will Get Hurt From What I'm About To Do..." is the last message he left for many to read. It hurt even to know I didn't have my blackberry that week and I would have spoken to him more which might have made the "butterfly effect" and stopped what happened. To say that anyone could have stopped his actions is only wishful thinking. Stephen was always a person who did what he wanted, when he wanted, and why he wanted. He wouldn't care how you would feel, or react, if he wanted to do something he did it. It he didn't do it, its because he didn't really want to. If you knew him, you know this is true, and if you saw him acting "crazy" and you didn't know him, someone would tell you... That's just how he was.

I've started writing this over the past couple weeks and I just take breaks in between because this whole ordeal was the most I've ever been to in my life.

As the days passed in the hospital I saw people come and go. I saw people stay there as long as I did, and even longer. Sometimes I didn't stay because it was for me, but I felt like his mother needed another strong person there with here, and not everyone always crying, because even that can become overbearing. Hope came and left just like a breeze that passes on a summer night, I could even say that for some people, who just seemed like they wanted to know what happened, without as much concern for him. I'm not one to judge so I won't even hold onto those memories.

Everything I do, I imagined the last time he was here while the same thing occurred. Even as far as listening to the Drake album for the first time. I remember bringing it into the car, and listening to the first 9 tracks on our way and in front of Nocturnal. This is the same reason I broke down re-listening to it outside the hospital. As strong as I may have been inside the hospital, I was not the same when I was outside. I'd go outside and be alone and vent. He was supposed to be here a lot longer, enjoying a lot more stuff with me. Sometimes I feel like I need to be around people who knew him, but at the same time, a new face to clear your mind with no actual attachment to him (except me thinking what he would have told me about the person, or foolish things we would have done).

So much left unsaid, so much left undone... He's probably the only person I would have never got tired of. I know its no one else that would know me like he did and now I don't have to worry about getting that close of a friendship to anyone. I'm just numb. Our whole friendship seems like it was all in the blink of an eye. Still to me.. Its like he's gone on a vacation and I'm just chilling until he comes back. It may not be the best way to deal with it but that's where my mind is at...

Born November 14th, 1984 went on vacation July 14th 2010. Officially the worst summer. It feels like everyone was losing someone right and left. So Much more is missing from this but I can't put all of this together.. It's all left in my head.

I’m mad late, but just wanted to make a post bout some interesting stuff last week. I had the pleasure of going to Kevin Rudolf Album release party in Lucky Strike. The name of that place alone has been in my head since listening to "Drake - Fireworks" (Who would have guessed Lucky Strike" would have you stuck with me). I ended up there on some regular stuff, but after a little while got the chance to go into VIP. It seemed good enough, open bar, lots of people, "industry" shit. Little while after I had to hold down the sections for Cash Money. Wasn’t too sure who was coming yet, but a lot of names were floating around. Its K. Rudolf’s party so of course he was expected, but I was also hearing Drake, Birdman, Slim, etc were all stopping by. I got the chance to meet some real cool people. Vibe and everything was good and the night was a success... here’s some pics I got to take. Shout out to CeeLow for getting me the pic with Birdman. At one point it was really just a few people left in the section and we were actually bowling with them. I hit 9 pins n left Kevin Rudolf to pick up the last one... He's actually pretty nice, considering he picked up the spare…

June 15th, Thank Me Later Bitch!

Sitting at home one night prolly about 2-3am in the morning... Prolly later because I'm usually up late... I see a tweet from Drake about following J Prince and UStream... Me being up, decided to follow and check it out... Drake goes live chatting with fans from all over. Both on UStream and Skype he decides to make random calls. All of which were female... Can't blame him there lol. He even gave out backstage tickets to one of his concerts in Texas to a girl he called live. At the end he starts free-styling and comes up with the hook... "June 15th, Thank Me Later Bitch" promoting his album. He also shouts out Lil Wayne heavy. This was about a month and a half ago.

Just a little rewind to a couple of days ago I received a link from a friend. To my surprise it was his album... I was kind of surprised because it was 2 weeks before the album dropped but a lot of tracks were getting leaked 1 by 1. I guess it was only a matter of time. I really didn't want his album to leak but I guess that's just how the industry is. His buzz for this album has been described as parallel to Lil Wayne and The Carter III. This could have been equivalent to about 1.3 million sales as Wayne had... If a lot of his supports are like me... He's got the chance to definitely make that happen.

Looking back to when I first heard a Drake track... I was in "The Cyph House (2)" lol, with Chris Cash, Dj Fragg and Randy. Cash wanted to tell me about him and how he's nice, sings and raps... The first tracks I remember him playing were "I Can Take Your Girl" and "I Want This Forever" (his original version with just Wayne) and Ransom. All featuring Lil Wayne and this could have been in 2007. And I instantaneously became a Drake fan. I saw his name floating around the net but that was the first time I heard him on a track, and I have no recollection of ever seeing a Degrassi episode to know him as Jimmy. The minute I arrived home I was looking for Drake tracks. I found him on various freestyles and even heard his past mixtapes. He was a real calm and collected dude and he didn't over do it in his raps. Even when he began to sing you could still tell he knew when he was doing and knew how to use his voice even if he claims not to me an R&B singer. He wouldn't rap about selling keys (kilogram of a drug) and necessarily too many females and all about jewelry and money. He made his songs on a level I felt I could really relate to even if they were personal experiences he went through. Drake was able to give me what I looked for in a track. Sometimes he came off as cocky but that's not a bad thing to be in this rap game when you’re able to come with as much bars as he has. I wasn't the biggest rap fan back in the day. To this day there are tons of big tracks I don't know, and even Jay-Z tracks I wouldn't be able to recite from his early career. I'm actually feeling like Drake is more of my equivalent to people who say Jay-Z is their favorite rapper. They got to watch, look and listen to his career on a rise and I feel that connection with Drake. Favorite tracks to this day are Ransom, Friends with Money, November 18th, Say what’s Real, Still Fly, Closer, Winner, his verses off Ignorant Shit, Money to Blow and countless others. And even though his album didn't drop yet, my favorite tracks are The Resistance and Up All Night. I favor The Resistance for how personal the song gets and Up All Night for how hard Drake and Nicki come on the track (plus the beat/chorus). Of course the tracks getting regular play on the radio are going to be the ones everyone knows, Miss Me, Unforgettable, Fireworks, Light Up…

I remember reading his article in the XXL Magazine where he said he's the biggest artist right now so on what mindset do him and his listeners meet. But sometimes I felt like if we were in the same shoes when I recite his lines because they relate exactly to a situation, good or bad, that I've been in. He comes from Toronto Canada... And even though a lot of my friends don't know it, I lived in Canada for quite some time while I was growing up. We both grew up in a family where our fathers weren't always there. And all these things help me to look and relate to lines in a lot of songs he has said. We've both probably had our heart broken and I feel like in his songs about females that I can relate whether it's one girl I wanted or a girl that wanted me... Or even just girls that were around. Sometimes I feel like with the things he says... anyone could relate to some of his bars.

Now flash forward to now... Leaving Summer Jam... Just saw my favorite rapper... Hands down. Drake. (I'm not gonna lie... Luda, Trey, Khaled, Fab, and Usher all did they thing... Didn't see ushers whole performance but still he had a lot going on lol). The main reason I wanted to go was to see Drake. I've watched YouTube performances of him but still I don't think anything can compare to it in person. Would have loved to hear some stuff off the album besides just Nicki's verse she did acapella from Up All Night. I don't think I'll get the full experience until I go to an actual Drake show or something that he headlines. Maybe one day I'll bump into him between passing floors of Universal Republic and Universal Motown (where I intern)

Honestly it too many parts to his album I want to go over but that's to recite. I can honestly sit here and listen to his entire album front to back. And I don't think any Drake fan would be disappointed.

While I was looking at the XIs I noticed this tidbit..

I do remember when the Black/Red VIs dropped in early 2010, there was a buzz for them but I wasn't really feeling it. I had just got the Space Jams the month before and remember speaking to the homie BBC Dream saying how I did not like how the VIs that came out looked so I wasn't in much of a rush to get. I wasn't too into the way to the material it looked to be made out of because it wasn't the same as the original.. Hopefully they come correct in June, something similar to the Black/Gold VIs in the (DMP) Defining Moment Package.. Supposed to be around the time Drake Album drops too

Blackberry 6

This actually makes me want to stay with blackberry to see what its about. I was thinking about trying one of the new HTC devices or even the iPhone, but I'll stick around. Only thing is they only showed more or less a touch screen version. If its the Storm I home they fixed that screen clicky thing. Making its sensitivity closer to the iPhone
